Meet Naaila Moumaris: Therapist, Truth-Teller, and Your Favorite Person When It's Time to Pivot

Lover of breakthroughs, bold shoes, and the version of you that's ready to stop playing small

Who I Am

I'm Naaila Moumaris, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), and I help BIPOC individuals stop carrying the weight of emotional exhaustion, relational trauma, spiritual guilt, and generational pain—so they can finally breathe, thrive, and show up for themselves without apology.

If you've ever felt like you're:

  • Emotionally exhausted from always being the strong one
  • Stuck in patterns shaped by relational trauma and attachment issues
  • Carrying spiritual guilt that makes healing feel like betrayal
  • Navigating generational pain that nobody taught you how to release
  • Worn down by racism fatigue while still expected to keep going

…then you're in the right place.

I specialize in helping people who've been taught to shrink themselves finally take up space—not just survive, but thrive in their fullness.

Why I Do This Work

Because therapy shouldn't feel like one more place where you have to explain yourself.

For too long, mental health spaces have asked marginalized communities to translate their pain, justify their experiences, and conform to models of healing that weren't built with us in mind.

I'm here to change that.

My work is rooted in cultural affirmation, spiritual awareness, and the belief that healing isn't about fixing what's "broken"—it's about reclaiming what's always been whole.

I create spaces where your identity is centered as a strength, where your spirituality is honored (not pathologized), and where you can show up exactly as you are—no code-switching, no shrinking, no apologies.

What You'll Get With Me

A Layered Perspective

I bring lived experience as a Black Muslim woman navigating intersecting identities—so I understand the complexity of holding multiple truths at once.

Educational & Soul-Focused

Sessions that blend clinical insight with spiritual grounding—because healing happens when the mind, heart, and soul are aligned.

Practical Strategies

Tools you can actually use outside our sessions—not abstract concepts, but real practices that help you navigate your daily life.

A Non-Judgmental Space

No shame, no judgment, no pressure to have it all together. Just honest, compassionate support as you figure things out.
